A user account is required to upload files to COXEN and perform data analysis. Account information will be used to communicate results of scheduled analyses. DO NOT send personally identifiable information about the individuals whose genomic profiling data you send, either when you upload your CEL files to our server of in any other communications to us. COXEN algorithm results are provided at no cost for use in non-profit research only. This site and results made available through it are to be used only for in vitro research or for retrospective studies.  "Retrospective" means that the genomic and chemotherapy outcomes data you use must be in existence at the time of the protocol submission to your IRB.  You should consult your institutional IRB if you plan to use COXEN prediction results in research.  COXEN prediction results must not be used prospectively to determine the choice of drugs to treat human patients.

COXEN ALGORITHM RESULTS ARE experimental in nature and ARE provided without warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose or any other warranty, express or implied.  The University of Virginia DOES NOT REPRESENT or warrant that the use of COXEN ALGORITHM RESULTS will NOT infringe any patent or other proprietary right, OR THAT ITS PROVISION OF COXEN RESULTS WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

In no event shall the University of Virginia (UVA) or its officers, employees or agents be liable to you or your Institution for any use made of COXEN algorithm results, or for any loss, claim, damage, or liability, of whatsoever kind or nature, which may arise from or in connection with such use.

You agree to use COXEN algorithm results in compliance with all laws and governmental regulation and guidelines applicable to them, and when they are used in the United States, you agree to comply with applicable current NIH guidelines.

All title and intellectual property rights in and to the COXEN algorithm are and shall be owned solely by UVA, and you agree that nothing herein shall create or imply any license in such rights.  If a publication results from research using the COXEN algorithm results, you agree to acknowledge UVA and/or to give credit to UVA scientists, as scientifically appropriate, based on any direct contribution they or the results may make to the work.
